Bart Colombo

Attorney

 

Bart Colombo has been litigating complex civil matters for over twenty-nine years across a broad range of practice areas, including business, real property, corporate, estate, personal injury and domestic matters. Bart has litigated numerous matters in the state and federal courts of Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia. His litigation experience includes representing home health care providers in employment and negligence claims, small businesses in wage and overtime law claims and other employment disputes, title companies in negligence and breach of contract claims, developers in construction disputes, residential and commercial property owners and tenants in breach of lease, breach of contract and related claims, and businesses in civil disputes. 


Bart represents corporations, partnerships and private individuals, and advises his corporate clients regarding director responsibilities, fiduciary duties, conflicts, ethics, risk management, fundraising, contract review and preparation, and federal and state statutes and regulations.


Bart has also been helping clients for many years with dignity and compassion in all manner of domestic and estate matters, including divorces, child and spousal support, child custody and visitation, domestic violence, pre and post nuptial agreements, asset protection, complex property division, and estate planning.


Bart believes a client is best served by a lawyer who strives to be a problem solver, and is consistently focused on successfully addressing his clients’ legal matters as efficiently as possible.

Bart was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, and completed his undergraduate studies at Cornell University, where he received degrees in both economics and fine arts. He is a graduate of the George Washington University National Law Center.
